Spanish Teacher – Academy, Leicestershire
A growing academy in Leicestershire is seeking an enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join its Languages department from September. This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who wants to help shape and grow the school's language provision.
About the Role You will teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of contributing to a developing KS5 offer. Lessons focus on practical communication, cultural understanding, and building students' confidence in using the language.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4
Prepare students for GCSE Spanish examinations
Plan lessons that build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
Use a variety of resources to bring Hispanic culture into the classroom
Track student progress and provide regular feedback
Support whole-school language or cultural awareness events

Candidate Requirements
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Fluency in Spanish and confidence teaching across KS3 and KS4
Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level
Strong classroom management skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Spanish
Ability to teach a second language (e.g. French)
Interest in helping develop the languages curriculum
