About the Role You will teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, exploring world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical questions through enquiry-based learning. The role also involves contributing to the school's broader values and citizenship curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4
Prepare students for GCSE Religious Studies examinations
Facilitate balanced discussion of religious and ethical topics
Support whole-school assemblies or values-based learning
Assess student work and provide regular feedback
Contribute to Humanities department planning and resources

Candidate Requirements
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge of world religions and ethics
Ability to manage sensitive discussions with confidence
Desirable
Experience teaching GCSE Religious Studies
Experience contributing to whole-school assemblies or PSHE
Interest in cross-curricular Humanities projects
