Geography Teacher – Secondary School, Herefordshire
A close-knit secondary school in Herefordshire is looking for a Geography Teacher to join its department from September. This full-time role is well suited to a teacher who enjoys connecting classroom learning with the local landscape and wider world issues.
About the Role You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, covering physical and human geography topics with regular opportunities for fieldwork in the surrounding countryside. The department encourages curiosity about environmental and global issues.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4
Prepare students for GCSE Geography examinations
Plan and deliver fieldwork in line with exam board requirements
Develop students' skills in map reading, data analysis, and enquiry
Assess coursework and provide constructive feedback
Support whole-school environmental or sustainability projects

Candidate Requirements
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Confidence planning and leading fieldwork
Strong organisational and classroom management skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Geography
Experience with GIS or fieldwork data software
Interest in coordinating environmental or eco-school initiatives
