Business Teaching Role in an Independent School

About the Role

You will teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that develop commercial understanding and academic confidence.

Students will study topics including marketing, finance, operations, entrepreneurship, human resources, and business strategy while developing evaluative writing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations, supporting students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and progression to higher education or business-related career pathways.

You will work collaboratively within a successful department while benefiting from smaller class sizes, excellent resources, and a strong focus on personalised learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary or sixth form level

• Strong subject knowledge in Business

• Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Business

• Experience working in an independent school setting

• Ability to contribute to enterprise or extracurricular initiatives

• Strong track record of examination success
