Maths Teaching Role in a Grammar School
A high-achieving grammar school in Luton is seeking to appoint an ambitious and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join its successful department from September. This is a full-time role within an academically rigorous and supportive school that values problem-solving, analytical thinking, and exceptional teaching.

About the Role
You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and academically challenging lessons that inspire curiosity and promote excellent student progress.
Students will study topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, calculus, and mathematical reasoning while developing problem-solving and analytical skills.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations, supporting students in achieving excellent outcomes and progression to higher education and STEM-related pathways.
You will work collaboratively within a successful Mathematics department committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the Maths curriculum
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support Maths enrichment, intervention, or extracurricular opportunities
Maintain high standards of classroom engagement and achievement

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics
Experience working in a grammar or high-achieving school setting
Ability to contribute to Maths clubs, competitions, or enrichment activities
Strong track record of examination success
