Finance Assistant
A Good Ofsted School in Southwark is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join its busy finance and administration team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual to contribute to the effective financial management of a successful secondary school.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations of the school, ensuring financial processes are completed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with the School Business Manager and finance team, you will play an important role in maintaining financial records and supporting budget management.
Key responsibilities include processing invoices, raising purchase orders, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, supporting payroll administration and assisting with budget monitoring. You will also liaise with suppliers and staff regarding financial queries and help ensure compliance with school financial procedures.
The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong numerical skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. The school is seeking an individual who can work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.

• Previous finance or accounts experience
• Strong numerical and organisational skills
