The Opportunity
As a member of the Geography department, you will:
Teach Geography at GCSE and A Level.
Deliver engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons.
Develop students' analytical, investigative and geographical enquiry skills.
Prepare students for examination success while fostering a genuine interest in the world around them.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support enrichment activities including field trips, geography societies, competitions, guest speakers and educational visits.
Play an active role in the wider life of the school through pastoral and extracurricular involvement.
About You
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
Have experience teaching Geography at GCSE and/or A Level.
Build positive and productive relationships with students.
Demonstrate high expectations for achievement, effort and behaviour.
Bring enthusiasm, creativity and fresh ideas to the classroom.
Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school community.
