Geography Teacher
An inclusive Secondary School in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join its successful Humanities faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative department committed to delivering engaging, relevant, and high-quality learning experiences for all students.
The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop a strong understanding of both physical and human geography while fostering curiosity about the wider world. You will deliver well-planned and engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, environmental awareness, and a deeper appreciation of global issues and contemporary challenges.
You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and the development of learning resources, ensuring that lessons are accessible, challenging, and tailored to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities. The role will also involve monitoring student progress, providing effective feedback, and implementing strategies to support achievement and attainment across all year groups.
In addition, you will support a range of enrichment opportunities, including educational visits, fieldwork activities, and extracurricular programmes designed to broaden students’ understanding of geographical concepts beyond the classroom. Strong communication skills will be essential as you work closely with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student development.
