About the Role

You will take responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the Lower Key Stage 2 curriculum.

The role includes teaching English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and foundation subjects while supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development as they transition into Key Stage 2.

You will create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes independence, resilience, and high expectations for learning and behaviour.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 3 class across the Lower Key Stage 2 curriculum

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

• Assess pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback

• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

• Support pupils’ academic and personal development

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in primary education or during placements

• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Passion for pupil progress and development

Desirable

• Experience teaching Year 3 or Lower Key Stage 2

• Experience working in an outstanding school setting

• Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities

• Experience supporting pupils with varying learning needs
