Business Teaching Role in a Grammar School

A high-achieving grammar school in Essex is seeking to appoint an ambitious and knowledgeable Business Teacher to join its successful department from September. About the Role

You will teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and academically challenging lessons that inspire curiosity and commercial understanding.

Students will study areas including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, entrepreneurship, and business strategy while developing strong evaluative writing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations, supporting students in achieving excellent outcomes and progression to competitive university and career pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary or sixth form level

• Strong subject knowledge in Business

• Ability to teach KS4 and KS5 confidently

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Business

• Experience working in a grammar or high-achieving school setting

• Ability to contribute to enterprise or extracurricular initiatives

• Strong track record of examination success
