CORE PURPOSE

We require an ambitious, linguistically expert French Teacher to deliver high-quality Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role involves facilitating a rigorous, communicative curriculum that deepens grammatical precision, phonetic accuracy, and cultural literacy, preparing pupils thoroughly for terminal public examinations and global citizenship.

KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS

• Curriculum Design & Instruction: Plan, resource, and deliver highly structured, target-language rich French lessons that challenge pupils across all technical and academic abilities.

• Linguistic Skills Development: Systematically develop pupils' skills across the four core pillars of language acquisition: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, whilst embedding robust vocabulary retrieval routines.

• Academic Progress Monitoring: Implement rigorous formative assessment and regular speaking diagnostics, utilising pupil tracking data to design sharp, targeted interventions that bridge learning gaps.

• Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal GCSE French specifications, focusing heavily on translation mechanics, spontaneous speech, and extended writing structures.

• Pastoral Care Integration: Undertake full form tutor responsibilities, managing daily registration, monitoring pupil attendance, and delivering the school's structured personal development units.
