Business Teacher – Excellent Secondary School

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Business Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Derby. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business concepts, entrepreneurship, and the modern commercial environment, alongside a commitment to delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5.

• Develop schemes of work that promote commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

• Create an engaging classroom environment that promotes academic excellence.

• Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives.

• Support enrichment opportunities, including enterprise projects and business-related activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.

• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level is desirable.

• Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills.

• Ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
