About the Role
You will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
The role includes planning and delivering lessons in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and foundation subjects while supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
You will create a positive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and high expectations for learning and behaviour.
You will work collaboratively with year group colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Teach a Year 4 class across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
Assess pupil progress and provide clear feedback
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
Contribute to wider school life and extracurricular activities
Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 or during placements
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Passion for pupil progress and development
Desirable
Experience teaching Year 4
Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum
Ability to contribute to enrichment or extracurricular activities
Experience supporting pupils with varying learning needs
