CORE PURPOSE
We require an ambitious, pedagogically expert Primary Teacher to lead a Year 4 class within Lower Key Stage 2. The role involves delivering a rich, knowledge-led primary curriculum that secures deep conceptual understanding across core and foundation subjects, successfully guiding pupils through pivotal developmental milestones—including the national Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)—while fostering independent academic habits.
KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Curriculum Design & Instruction: Plan, resource, and execute highly structured, evidence-based lessons across reading, writing, mathematics, and foundation subjects, tailored to the developmental needs of Year 4 pupils.
LKS2 Multiplication Mastery: Implement systematic, high-impact numeracy routines to ensure all pupils develop rapid recall of multiplication facts up to 12 × 12, ensuring full readiness for the statutory end-of-year digital assessment.
Literacy & Oracy Development: Drive reading fluency and comprehension through high-quality text analysis, whilst embedding structured writing frameworks to expand pupils' grammatical precision and vocabulary.
Progress Monitoring & Diagnostics: Run regular formative checks and use primary tracking data to identify learning gaps, designing sharp, immediate interventions to keep all learners on track for Upper Key Stage 2.
Pastoral & Transition Care: Maintain high expectations for personal organization and social development, managing parent-teacher communication proactively to support the holistic progress of every child.
