About the Role
You will teach Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students and promote excellent progress.
The role includes both classroom teaching and practical laboratory work, supporting students in developing scientific understanding, experimental confidence, and strong evaluative skills.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations, helping them achieve excellent outcomes and progress to further education.
You will work collaboratively within a high-performing Science department committed to maintaining outstanding standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations
Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Maintain safe laboratory procedures and environments
Contribute to STEM enrichment and departmental development

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Science
Specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Experience working in an outstanding or high-achieving school
Ability to contribute to STEM enrichment activities
