CORE PURPOSE
We require an ambitious, intellectually rigorous Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality macro-economic, micro-economic, and global market instruction across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The role involves facilitating a challenging, research-led academic curriculum that introduces pupils to complex economic models, fiscal policies, and quantitative data analysis, preparing them for advanced university-level study and professional inquiry.
KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Curriculum Delivery & Academic Rigour: Plan and execute highly structured, evidence-based Economics lessons that challenge pupils across A-Level, GCSE, and vocational business specifications.
Quantitative & Analytical Instruction: Guide pupils through the complexities of supply and demand elasticities, market failure mechanics, monetary policy frameworks, aggregate demand models, and statistical data interpretation.
Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 5 and Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through terminal examination requirements, embedding sophisticated evaluative essay writing frameworks, quantitative extraction skills, and retrieval practices.
Progress Monitoring: Run regular formative essay reviews and summative assessment routines, utilising pupil tracking data to diagnose conceptual misconceptions and design sharp, targeted intervention sessions.
Pastoral Responsibilities: Undertake full form tutor duties, managing morning registration routines, tracking pupil attendance, and delivering the school's structured personal and social development programmes.

Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver outstanding progress metrics in terminal public examinations, particularly at A-Level, through explicit, high-level instruction.
Routine Implementation: The ability to execute school behaviour policies with absolute consistency, maintaining a positive, highly focused, and strictly disciplined classroom culture.
