CORE PURPOSE
We require an ambitious, linguistically expert French Teacher to deliver high-quality modern foreign languages (MFL) instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role involves implementing a challenging, communication-first academic curriculum that builds grammatical precision, phonetic fluency, and sophisticated listening, reading, and writing capabilities in all pupil cohorts.
KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Curriculum Design & Instruction: Plan, resource, and execute highly structured, target-language lessons that develop authentic communication skills and secure structural linguistic foundations.
Grammatical & Phonetic Mastery: Systematically embed complex verb tenses, mood structures, syntactic frameworks, and phonics instruction into routine practice to build student confidence.
Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 4 classes systematically through the terminal requirements of GCSE French specifications, focusing intently on spontaneous speaking strategies and advanced translation skills.
Progress Diagnostics: Run regular formative vocabulary checkpoints and summative mock examination cycles, utilizing pupil data to track productive vs. receptive language skill gaps and deliver targeted intervention.
Pastoral Responsibilities: Undertake full form tutor duties, managing morning registration, monitoring attendance trends, and delivering the school's personal, social, and cultural development units.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver excellent progress metrics and high-tier entries in terminal public examinations through explicit whole-class language teaching.
Routine Implementation: The ability to execute school behavior policies with absolute consistency, maintaining a positive, high-expectation, and strictly disciplined classroom culture.
