Maths Teaching Role in a Secondary School
A well-established secondary school in Slough is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and ambitious school that values mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and high-quality teaching.

About the Role
You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support learners of all abilities.
The role includes preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations, with a strong focus on mathematical fluency, reasoning, problem-solving, and exam technique.
You will support both foundation and higher-tier learners while challenging high-attaining students through enrichment and extension activities.
You will work collaboratively within a successful Maths department committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support intervention and mathematical enrichment activities
Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics
Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Ability to contribute to mathematical enrichment activities
