CORE PURPOSE
We require an ambitious, intellectually rigorous Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality numerical, algebraic, and statistical instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role involves delivering a challenging, concepts-first curriculum that builds mathematical fluency, logical reasoning, and confident problem-solving capabilities in all pupil cohorts.
KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Curriculum Design & Instruction: Plan, resource, and execute highly structured, evidence-based mathematics lessons that challenge pupils across all academic profiles and learning requirements.
Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 4 classes systematically through the demands of terminal GCSE mathematics specifications, implementing retrieval practices and exam-board strategies to maximise progress outcomes.
Progress Diagnostics: Run regular formative and summative assessment routines, utilising pupil tracking data to diagnose learning misconceptions and design sharp, targeted intervention sessions.
Numeracy Drive: Assist the broader department in implementing cross-curricular numeracy strategies, fostering mathematical confidence and mathematical application across all subjects.
Pastoral Responsibilities: Undertake full form tutor duties, managing morning registration, tracking pupil attendance, and delivering the school's structured personal and social development programmes.

Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress metrics in terminal public examinations through explicit, highly engaging whole-class instruction.
Routine Implementation: The ability to execute school behaviour policies with absolute consistency, maintaining a positive, highly focused, and strictly disciplined classroom culture.
