CORE PURPOSE
We require an ambitious, intellectually rigorous Physics Teacher to deliver high-quality physical sciences instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role involves facilitating a challenging, concepts-first academic curriculum that links classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and quantum principles with rigorous practical laboratory inquiry and mathematical analysis.
KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Curriculum Design & Instruction: Plan, resource, and deliver highly structured, evidence-based science lessons with a specialist focus on Physics, challenging pupils across all academic abilities.
Practical Laboratory Leadership: Coordinate and execute safe, engaging physics experiments and data-logging investigations, ensuring pupils master instrumentation, mathematical modeling, error analysis, and safety protocols.
Academic Progress Monitoring: Implement rigorous formative and summative assessment routines, utilising pupil tracking data to design sharp, targeted interventions that bridge conceptual learning gaps.
Examination Preparation: Guide examination cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal GCSE combined and triple science specifications, maximising progress outcomes and mathematical problem-solving skills.
Pastoral Care Integration: Undertake full form tutor responsibilities, managing daily registration, monitoring pupil attendance, and delivering the school's structured personal development units.

Pedagogical Capability: A proven track record or clear capacity to deliver strong progress outcomes in terminal public examinations through explicit, highly engaging instruction.
Routine Implementation: The ability to execute school behaviour policies with absolute consistency, maintaining a positive, highly focused, and strictly disciplined workshop and classroom culture.
