Teacher of Computing - Lovely Secondary School in Bude
A warm and welcoming community secondary school in Bude is looking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of Computing for a full-time position starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Computer Science department and teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and a range of post-16 courses in a school that values innovation, high standards, and strong relationships with students.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that help students become articulate, curious, and capable individuals. The department currently offers GCSE Computer Science (OCR), Cambridge Nationals Level 1 & 2 Creative iMedia, and A-Level Computer Science. In its recent inspection, Ofsted described the school as a "true community school" where staff are aspirational and parents describe their children's experience as "thriving."

The Role:
Teaching Computer Science across KS3, KS4, and post-16 cohorts
Planning and delivering innovative and challenging lessons in line with the UK curriculum
Supporting students of all abilities to achieve exceptionally high standards
Leading or contributing to the department's GCSE, Cambridge Nationals, and A-Level courses
Working closely with an enthusiastic team of experienced computing teachers
Requirements:
Applicants must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized teaching qualification
A degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related technical subject
Experience teaching Computer Science in a UK school or college setting up to A-Level
Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student attitude
The legal right to work in the UK
Salary & Hours:
Contract: Full-Time, One Year Temporary
Salary: Paid competitive rates based on experience (with potential TLR/allowance)
