The Role

• Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4

• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of material specialisms

• Supporting practical workshop lessons with a strict focus on health, safety, and machinery protocols

• Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback on design portfolios and practical outcomes

• Working collaboratively within a supportive DT team and engaging fully with ECT mentor sessions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026

• A degree in a Design & Technology-related subject

• Successful placement experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4

• Strong subject knowledge, CAD/CAM familiarity, and confident workshop practice

• High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress

• A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
