Core Responsibilities
Front-of-House Excellence: Acting as a professional first point of contact for the school, welcoming visitors, managing incoming telephone inquiries, and directing traffic with warmth and clarity.
Data & Systems Management: Utilizing the school's internal Management Information System (MIS) to maintain accurate, up-to-date records for student attendance, admissions, or general profiling.
Written Communication: Drafting, formatting, and proofreading high-quality correspondence, newsletters, and operational documents for parents, governors, and external stakeholders with absolute grammatical precision.
Reprographics & Resource Support: Managing the centralized filing systems, sorting mail, and assisting with the printing and collation of vital academic and resource packs for teaching staff.
Operational Compliance: Assisting the School Business Manager with essential administrative compliance checks, safeguarding sign-ins, and maintaining a highly organized office environment.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a proactive, highly capable professional who loves organization and possesses the communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your profile should include:
Proven Administrative Experience: Strong previous experience working in a busy office or administrative environment, preferably within an educational setting (though corporate backgrounds with transferable skills are highly valued).
Technical Proficiency: Exceptional ICT skills, including advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and a clear capacity to quickly master school-specific software and database systems.
Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: A calm, professional, and empathetic demeanour when communicating with students, parents, staff, and external multi-agency partners.
Meticulous Eye for Detail: The ability to prioritize a varied workload independently, multi-task effectively under tight deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
