Job Title: School Caretaker
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Salary: £23,500 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

This community-focused academy in Banbury is searching for a practical and highly motivated Caretaker to step in immediately. With a sprawling site and excellent sports facilities, the school requires an individual who enjoys a hands-on, active role and takes immense pride in presenting a premium environment for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep the school premises safe by monitoring security gates, boundary fences, and managing internal access controls.
Carry out painting, decorating, basic tiling, and minor carpentry projects during term time and school holidays.
Accept deliveries, distribute heavy packages safely across the school departments, and manage general waste streams.
Clear paths, walkways, and playground areas of leaves, litter, or ice to ensure continuous safety.
Provide support to out-of-hours school events, parents' evenings, or community lettings where required.
Requirements:
Solid practical experience in multi-skilled building maintenance, caretaking, or site operations.
Excellent knowledge of building safety, security measures, and safe working protocols (Manual Handling, Asbestos awareness is a plus).
A flexible attitude to working hours to accommodate emergency call-outs or shift rotas.
Strong communication skills to liaise easily with teaching staff, students, and administration teams.
