Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-impact DT lessons that encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and precise execution.

• Specialism in Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Systems and Control is highly welcome, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum design.

• Support students thoroughly through their GCSE design portfolios, ensuring high-quality evidence of research, development, and making.

• Ensure that all machinery and workspace areas conform strictly to whole-school health and safety policies.

• Participate in whole-school initiatives, cross-curricular STEM activities, and industry links to promote engineering and design careers.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative urban school setting.

• Strong behavior management strategies grounded in positive reinforcement and high expectations.

• Ability to demonstrate technical processes with confidence and maintain strict safety standards.
