Key Responsibilities:
Teach inspiring Design Technology lessons across the age and ability range, adapting projects to suit varied student skill levels.
Deliver technical instructions clearly and safely, overseeing the use of various materials including woods, metals, and plastics.
Utilize digital tools and software alongside traditional hand tools to deliver a modern, forward-thinking curriculum.
Monitor, track, and report on student progress using formative and summative assessment loops.
Engage constructively with parents, guardians, and the wider school community during parents' evenings and options events.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
Passionate subject specialist with strong practical skills and a creative edge to project planning.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships with pupils.
Full awareness of current UK National Curriculum and GCSE assessment criteria for Design Technology.
