The Department & Scientific Inquiry

2. Empirical Leadership: Leading safe, organized, and impactful laboratory practicals that train students in rigorous measurement, keen observation, and data deconstruction.

3. Conceptual Breakdown: Demystifying abstract, complex frameworks across biology, chemistry, and physics—making quantitative laws and structural formulas accessible to all learners.

4. Data-Driven Success: Utilizing the department’s detailed assessment tracking systems to identify learning gaps early, providing clear, targeted feedback to maximize GCSE exam performance.

5. Form Tutor Duties: Leading a dedicated form group, acting as the primary point of academic, pastoral, and holistic support for a cohort of students.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a dedicated educator who is passionate about cultivating logical clarity, evidence-based thinking, and a genuine curiosity about the natural and physical world. Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong honours degree in a recognized scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Applied Sciences).

• Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering high-quality learning outcomes at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a sophisticated understanding of examination board specifications.
