DT Teacher – Leading Secondary School – Gloucestershire
An excellent and well-regarded secondary school in Gloucestershire is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join its successful DT department. The position is available on a full-time, permanent basis starting September 2026.
The Design & Technology department is well resourced and collaborative, with a clear focus on high-quality teaching and strong pupil progress.
The Role
Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of material specialisms
Supporting practical workshop lessons with a strict focus on health, safety, and machinery protocols
Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback on design portfolios and practical outcomes
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Working collaboratively within a supportive Design & Technology team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in a Design & Technology-related subject
Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4
Strong subject knowledge, CAD/CAM proficiency, and confident workshop practice
High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
