The Department & Scientific Culture
You will join a prestigious Science faculty where Biology, Chemistry, and Physics are high-attaining and popular subjects at both GCSE and A-Level.

Core Responsibilities
Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Triple and Combined Science), with opportunities for A-Level instruction in your specialist discipline.
Practical Mastery: Leading sophisticated laboratory investigations—from examining cellular structures to investigating chemical kinetics—ensuring students develop precise technical and analytical skills.
Conceptual Clarity: Demystifying abstract and complex theories, including the mechanics of inheritance, the nuances of the periodic table, and the fundamental laws of energy transfer.
Data-Driven Success: Utilising the academy’s robust assessment framework to provide granular feedback, ensuring students are equipped to meet the high-level demands of terminal examinations.
STEM Advocacy: Coordinating school-wide initiatives, such as eco-clubs or regional engineering challenges, to foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and professional ambition.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority who views Science as the key to solving the world’s most pressing technological and environmental challenges. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong honours degree in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering exceptional learning outcomes at GCSE, with a deep understanding of AQA or OCR assessment objectives.
Instructional Precision: The ability to explain complex scientific laws with clarity, making the abstract tangible for students of all abilities.
