An energetic and ambitious Physical Education Early Career Teacher (ECT) is required to join a premier secondary school in Bristol from September 2026. The Role
Teaching Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, delivering a broad curriculum including team games, athletics, and health-related fitness.
Leading and coaching school teams in core sports across a regular fixture list, including some after-school and occasional weekend commitments.
Participating in a structured ECT induction program, featuring a dedicated mentor, a reduced teaching timetable, and bespoke professional development sessions.
Planning and delivering high-energy, inclusive lessons that leverage effective group management and positive reinforcement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026.
A strong degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related discipline.
A professional, tenacious, and highly methodical approach to both classroom instruction and pitch-side management.
Demonstrated success during teaching placements, with the ability to inspire students of varying sporting backgrounds.
Competency in using digital platforms for performance tracking and departmental administration.
A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to the wider life of a bustling school community.
