English Teaching Role in an Academy Trust School

About the Role
You will teach English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering lessons in both English Language and English Literature.
Students will study a broad range of prose, poetry, drama, and non-fiction texts while developing analytical writing, interpretation, and communication skills.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations, supporting them in developing exam technique and confidence in extended written responses.
You will work collaboratively within the department and across the trust to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Teach English across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver lessons in English Language and Literature
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations
Assess student work and provide structured feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Promote literacy and independent reading
Support enrichment activities such as reading clubs or theatre visits
