Core Responsibilities
Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-impact lessons across the Year 6 curriculum, with a primary focus on deep mastery in English and Mathematics.
SATs Preparation: Implementing a sophisticated and low-stress approach to Key Stage 2 assessments, ensuring students have the technical skills and confidence to demonstrate their true potential.
Writing Excellence: Developing students' ability to write with flair, precision, and grammatical accuracy across a range of genres and contexts.
Data-Driven Progress: Utilising granular assessment data to identify learning gaps and lead targeted interventions that ensure every child makes accelerated progress.
Transition Leadership: Guiding students through the "Year 6 journey," fostering the independence, maturity, and social skills necessary for a successful transition to Key Stage 3.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a practitioner who thrives in a fast-paced, high-aspiration environment. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record of delivering "Good" or "Outstanding" outcomes in a Key Stage 2 setting.
Curriculum Authority: Deep knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and the specific requirements of the end-of-key-stage frameworks.
Inspirational Presence: The ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents, and the wider Newham community.
Reflective Practice: A professional who is eager to engage in "Lesson Study" and collaborative professional development to refine their craft.
