Mathematics Teaching Role in a Coastal School Setting
A secondary school in Plymouth is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join its Mathematics department from September. This is a full-time role within a school that supports a broad curriculum and is focused on improving student outcomes in Mathematics.

About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students in developing confidence in number, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving.
You will prepare students for GCSE Mathematics examinations, helping them build secure understanding and apply mathematical methods accurately.
Depending on experience, there may be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching, assessment, and curriculum delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
Deliver structured lessons covering core mathematical concepts
Prepare students for GCSE Mathematics examinations
Assess student work and provide clear feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to departmental planning and shared resources
Support intervention sessions where required
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

Experience teaching KS5 Mathematics
Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations
