The Role:
The School Business Manager (SBM) will play a pivotal strategic role within the senior leadership team, overseeing the financial, operational, and administrative functions of the school. This is a key leadership position requiring strong financial acumen and organisational expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead on financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Oversee HR, premises, and administrative functions
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and school policies
• Support strategic planning and school improvement initiatives
• Manage contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships
• Provide regular financial reports to senior leadership and governors
Requirements:
• Significant experience in a finance or business management role (school experience desirable)
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Knowledge of financial regulations and budgeting processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
