Senior Science Technician | Birmingham | Independent School

We are working with a unique Independent school in Birmingham seeking a Senior Science Technician. This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP, leading the technical support for a highly successful Science department.

The Role

  • Technical Oversight: Supervise the preparation of complex practicals for Chemistry, Biology, and Physics up to A-Level.

  • Safety Leadership: Act as the departmental lead for health and safety, ensuring strict adherence to CLEAPSS guidelines.

  • Stock Management: Oversee the procurement of chemicals and specialist equipment, ensuring zero learning time is lost.

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior technicians, promoting a culture of professional excellence and scientific inquiry.
