This is an ideal role for an Early Career Teacher looking to work in a department that values competitive sport, physical wellbeing, and inclusive participation for girls.

The Role

  • Teaching a broad range of physical activities across KS3 and KS4, specifically focusing on girls' PE

  • Delivering theoretical components of GCSE PE or BTEC Sport

  • Leading and coaching school teams in local and regional fixtures (Netball, Football, Athletics etc.)

  • Planning inclusive lessons that encourage girls of all abilities to lead healthy lifestyles

  • Acting as a role model to inspire confidence and participation in female sports

  • Contributing to the school’s vibrant extracurricular sports timetable

  • Engaging in whole-school CPD and the statutory ECT induction sessions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field

  • A strong personal background in sport and a commitment to extracurricular excellence

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and act as an empowering role model

  • Excellent organisational skills and a high level of energy and enthusiasm

  • A commitment to the school’s ethos of "Sport for All"
