The Role
Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, specialising in Resistant Materials or Product Design
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that balance technical theory with workshop practice
Supporting pupils with coursework, NEA (Non-Exam Assessment), and design portfolios
Promoting high standards of workshop safety, tool maintenance, and health & safety
Encouraging creativity, precision, and independence in design-and-make sessions
Utilizing modern technology including 3D printers and laser cutters to enhance student outcomes
Contributing to wider school initiatives and extracurricular design challenges
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and confident practical classroom delivery
High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
A commitment to maintaining a safe and inspiring technical environment
