The Role

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), with potential KS5 specialism

  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured practical and theory-based lessons

  • Supporting pupils with required practicals, investigative assessments, and examination preparation

  • Promoting high standards of laboratory safety and technical precision

  • Encouraging scientific enquiry, confidence, and independence in practical sessions

  • Monitoring pupil progress and using assessment effectively to raise attainment

  • Participating in the school’s extensive STEM enrichment programme and Science Week

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related Science subject

  • Strong subject knowledge and confident practical classroom delivery

  • High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress

  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to engage with the school's ECT mentor programme

  • A proactive, organised, and positive teaching approach
