The Role
Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), with potential KS5 specialism
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with required practicals, investigative assessments, and examination preparation
Promoting high standards of laboratory safety and technical precision
Encouraging scientific enquiry, confidence, and independence in practical sessions
Monitoring pupil progress and using assessment effectively to raise attainment
Participating in the school’s extensive STEM enrichment programme and Science Week
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related Science subject
Strong subject knowledge and confident practical classroom delivery
High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
A collaborative mindset and a willingness to engage with the school's ECT mentor programme
A proactive, organised, and positive teaching approach
