The Role
Teaching Psychology at KS4 (GCSE) and KS5 (A-Level)
Delivering complex theoretical content including Social Influence, Memory, and Psychopathology
Supporting students in mastering research methods and statistical analysis
Planning lessons that stimulate debate and develop high-level evaluative writing skills
Preparing students for external examinations through targeted feedback and marking
Contributing to the wider Social Sciences curriculum, including Sociology or PSHE
Engaging with the school’s academic enrichment programme, such as the Psychology Society
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A strong academic background with a degree in Psychology (2:1 or higher preferred)
A firm grasp of A-Level Psychology specifications (e.g., AQA or Edexcel)
The ability to simplify complex concepts for students at various stages of learning
A passion for psychological research and a commitment to academic excellence
Excellent communication skills and a reflective approach to teaching
