Teacher of History role in Newham - Outstanding School
We are working with a school who are recruiting for an inspirational History Teacher to join an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Newham. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026, ideal for a specialist who values a knowledge-rich and scholarly approach to the past.
The Role
Historical Inquiry: Deliver a rigorous History curriculum across KS3 and KS4, focusing on diverse periods and geographical regions.
Critical Analysis: Foster advanced skills in source evaluation, debate, and essay writing among young historians.
Scholarly Leadership: Maintain a well-ordered classroom environment where academic discipline is the cornerstone of success.
Results Focus: Support the department in maintaining its track record of consistently brilliant outcomes and scholarly inquiry.
