We are seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join a high-performing secondary school in York. This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of practical Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The successful candidate will prepare materials and equipment for lessons, ensure laboratories are maintained to a high standard and support teaching staff during practical sessions. You will also play a key role in maintaining health and safety standards.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a passion for science education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and set up equipment for practical lessons
• Maintain laboratory resources and stock
• Ensure health and safety compliance
• Support teachers during practical sessions
• Clean and store equipment safely
• Assist with ordering materials
Requirements:
• Science-related qualification or experience
• Strong organisational skills
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• School experience (desirable)
