The Opportunity

Core Responsibilities
Delivering intellectually rigorous lessons that challenge students to master the theoretical foundations of Computer Science, including Big O notation and complex data structures.
Teaching high-level programming (primarily Python or Java) with a focus on writing efficient, modular, and well-documented code.
Preparing students for top-tier results at GCSE and A-Level, ensuring they are equipped for the demands of the NEA (Non-Examined Assessment) and technical theory papers.
Facilitating extracurricular opportunities such as the British Informatics Olympiad, CyberFirst competitions, and student-led software development clubs.
Guiding students through the ethical and philosophical implications of the digital age, from algorithmic bias to the impact of automation on the global economy.
The Successful Candidate We are seeking a scholar-practitioner who is passionate about the evolution of technology. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a high-quality degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
A proven track record of supporting high-ability students to achieve A/A* grades (or equivalent) at Key Stage 4 and 5.
Deep subject knowledge across the full spectrum of the Computer Science specification, including low-level architecture and high-level abstract modelling.
The professional presence and communication skills to engage and motivate students who are aiming for the UK’s top universities.
