The Department

Core Responsibilities

1. Planning and delivering high-impact lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities, from functional skills to higher-tier GCSE.

2. Breaking down complex mathematical concepts—such as trigonometry, calculus, and statistical analysis—into digestible, logical steps.

3. Preparing Year 11 students for their GCSE examinations through rigorous data-driven interventions and exam-technique workshops.

4. Developing students' problem-solving and resilience, encouraging them to tackle unfamiliar questions with a logical and structured approach.

5. Using a variety of assessment tools to identify gaps in knowledge and providing timely, constructive feedback to ensure rapid progress.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a specialist who is passionate about making "the language of the universe" accessible to everyone. Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (e.g., Engineering or Physics).

• Strong subject knowledge across the entire GCSE specification, with the ability to stretch high-attaining pupils.
