Core Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Planning and facilitating high-quality, practical-based lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ability to teach a specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) to A-Level is highly desirable.

• Practical Excellence: Leading safe, engaging, and rigorous laboratory experiments, ensuring students develop strong enquiry skills and a deep understanding of the scientific method.

• GCSE Preparation: Guiding students through the AQA or Edexcel Combined Science and Triple Science pathways, using targeted interventions to ensure every student reaches their full potential.

• STEM Advocacy: Promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) throughout the school, coordinating extracurricular clubs, "Science Week" activities, and industry visits.

• Assessment for Learning: Using diagnostic questioning and regular feedback to identify misconceptions early and provide students with clear steps for academic improvement.

• Pastoral Care: Serving as a dedicated Form Tutor, providing a supportive environment for students and acting as a consistent point of contact for families.
