Cultural Leadership: Bringing the French-speaking world to life in the classroom, exploring the literature, cinema, music, and traditions of France and beyond (including Quebec, North Africa, and the Caribbean).
Curriculum Innovation: Integrating digital tools and language-learning software to enhance vocabulary retention and provide interactive, real-time feedback.
Exam Mastery: Guiding examination cohorts through AQA or Pearson Edexcel specifications, with a clinical focus on translation skills, photo card descriptions, and literary analysis at Key Stage 5.
International Advocacy: Leading extracurricular initiatives such as European Day of Languages, spelling bees, and coordinating potential exchange programmes or virtual links with partner schools abroad.
Why This School?
Peterborough’s Global Outlook: Work in a city that values communication and connectivity, providing an ideal setting to champion the economic and social benefits of being bilingual.
Collaborative MFL Faculty: Join a supportive team of linguists who value "target language" teaching and share creative resources for GCSE and A-Level success.
Modern Language Labs: Benefit from well-resourced classrooms equipped with interactive technology and dedicated audio-visual tools to support listening and speaking assessments.

Candidate Profile
Qualification: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a strong honours degree in French or a related Modern Foreign Languages discipline.
Subject Knowledge: Near-native fluency in French and a deep understanding of the grammatical structures and cultural nuances of the language.
Pedagogy: A proven track record of securing strong student progress and the ability to inspire confidence in learners of all starting points.
