We are seeking an intellectually curious and engaging History Teacher to join a thriving Humanities department within a diverse and energetic secondary school in Walthamstow. The Role

As a History Teacher, you will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum across KS3 and KS4. You will join a faculty that moves beyond rote dates and names, focusing on historical inquiry, source analysis, and the development of powerful student voices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inquiry-Based Learning: Guiding students through the complexities of British, European, and Global history—from the Silk Roads and the Tudors to the Civil Rights Movement and the Cold War.

• Source Analysis: Developing students' ability to evaluate primary and secondary evidence, identifying bias, utility, and historical perspective.

• Discursive Writing: Helping students construct sophisticated, well-evidenced arguments in preparation for GCSE (AQA/Edexcel) and A-Level assessments.

• Inclusive History: Ensuring the curriculum reflects the diverse backgrounds of the Walthamstow community, integrating local history and global narratives.

About You
