Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils in developing both theoretical and practical scientific knowledge

• Preparing pupils for GCSE Science examinations

• Supervising and supporting practical experiments, ensuring all safety procedures are followed

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing timely, constructive feedback

• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning

• Supporting extracurricular science opportunities and STEM initiatives

• Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

• Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be able to motivate pupils and instil a passion for Science

• Work collaboratively within the department and wider school community
