The Role
The school is seeking a knowledgeable, reflective, and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5. Religious Studies is a valued subject within the Humanities faculty, attracting academically curious students with a strong interest in philosophy, ethics, and global perspectives.
You will teach a broad and rigorous curriculum, from foundational religious and ethical concepts at KS3 to advanced A-Level Religious Studies (including Philosophy of Religion, Ethics, and developments in religious thought). You will contribute to a dynamic department that values intellectual debate, curriculum innovation, and high academic standards.

Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) with a strong degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field
Proven experience teaching Religious Studies at GCSE and A-Level (IB experience desirable)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for philosophical, ethical, and theological debate
Ability to inspire, challenge, and engage students of all abilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commitment to contributing to the wider school community, including debate clubs, philosophy societies, or enrichment activities
