About the Role

The role requires strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils’ development in reading, writing, and analytical skills

• Preparing pupils for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing clear, structured feedback

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

• Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills

• Be able to motivate pupils and encourage a love of reading and writing
