The Role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Librarian to manage and develop the school library as a central hub for learning and literacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the school library

  • Promote reading for pleasure and independent study

  • Support students with research and information literacy

  • Maintain and develop library resources and catalogues

  • Organise reading initiatives, events, and author visits

  • Work with staff to support curriculum delivery

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive library environment

Requirements

  • Experience working in a library or educational setting

  • Strong organisational and cataloguing skills

  • Passion for reading and literacy development

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to engage and inspire students
